Science to Science
Science-to-science activities in the Field of Excellence BioHealth focus on publication and presentation of research results at international congresses in order to achieve the greatest possible impact on the scientific community. The researchers take this task seriously against the background of the principles of Open Science. Published data are universally available to researchers worldwide free of charge and can be used quickly and without restriction.
This applies in particular to publications that are consistently published as Open Access (OA) articles and are permanently available in digital repositories. Research data are regularly presented at international conferences in order to promote direct exchange between researchers on specific topics and across disciplines. Publications of study protocols, especially in the field of clinical research, enable an early exchange of methodologies and concepts in translational research.
In addition, BioHealth researchers actively contribute to scientific publications through editorial and peer review activities. These include activities as Editor in Chief or Executive Editors as well as the journals Microbial Cell and Cell Stress, which were founded from the BioHealth field of excellence.
BioHealth is also involved in the organization of specialized congresses with the participation of internationally leading scientists, such as the International Graz Symposium on Lipid and Membrane Biology.
